Lesson 3 – Museum

Three thought-bubble-shaped forms inside black circles, each filled with a different textured pattern: the first is gray with a geometric leaf design, the second is purple and pink with a rough, marbled texture, and the third is tan with a woven plaid-like texture.

Completing a virtual class museum trip is recommended at least three times over the course of the year to ensure a well-rounded art experience for the students.

Lesson 2 – Texture Map

Child’s colorful texture rubbing map showing a park, home, school, pond, and baseball field. Different textures represent sand, leaves, cement, and walls, with labeled elements like a park fence, gate, and cement path near the pond.

Students will continue to explore the art element of texture by identifying texture in their environments.
