Lesson 1 – Shapes & Contour Lines

A colorful student artwork of a bicycle features a hand-drawn frame shaded with watercolor or crayon in greens, blues, and yellows. The handlebars include brown leaf-like shapes with pink and purple tassels, while the tires are detailed with black shading and radiating spokes.

The TK–6 Discover Your Inner Artist curriculum provides students the opportunity to explore the seven elements of art, a few at a time, as they progress.

Lesson 5 – Museum

Three overlapping abstract circular designs, each containing cloud-like shapes and dotted or patterned outlines in varying colors such as green, blue, purple, and red, representing creative visual elements from an art lesson or museum-themed activity.

Completing a virtual class museum trip is recommended at least three times over the course of the year to ensure a well-rounded art experience for the students.
