Lesson 3 – Museum

Three thought-bubble-shaped forms inside black circles, each filled with a different textured pattern: the first is gray with a geometric leaf design, the second is purple and pink with a rough, marbled texture, and the third is tan with a woven plaid-like texture.

Completing a virtual class museum trip is recommended at least three times over the course of the year to ensure a well-rounded art experience for the students.

Lesson 2 – Textures in the Living World

A textured crayon and pastel drawing shows fall trees with brown trunks and overlapping red, orange, and yellow leaf rubbings.

Students will continue to explore visual and tactile texture, how artists use texture as a visual element in art, and how different textures appear in the natural world.

Lesson 5 – Museum

Three side-by-side geometric illustrations, each containing layered shapes in similar color schemes: the first is a blue circle filled with overlapping ovals and smaller circles; the second is a triangle with layered star-like shapes; and the third is a square with stacked rectangles and squares. The shapes are outlined in black with accents in yellow and blue, representing a stylized design for a museum or classroom art display.
